    1st ed. · SIMRAC, Johannesburg/Braamfontein · approx. 489 pp.

A companion volume to MON-21, treating the same topics from the theoretical side: rock mechanics, long-term strength, creep, pillars, excess shear stress (ESS) and the modelling of seismicity. Note the order of the authors' names – the reverse of the 1999 handbook.

Hadjigeorgiou, J., Charette, F. (2017). Guide Pratique du Soutènement Minier.

2nd ed. (reprint with minor updates) · Association Minière du Québec · 206 pp.

The only practical French-language work on mine support: the selection of bolts, mesh and sprayed concrete (shotcrete) and the quality control of installation. Quebec register, not European – its terminology may depart from the AFTES usage adopted for the site's French version; when cited in French content it requires a check of terms.
